Five habits that add years to your mattress
Rotation, a protector and the right base do more for longevity than anything you can buy afterwards.

A mattress fails at the edges and under the hips long before the coils give out. These five habits keep the build even.
- Rotate head to foot every three months. Never flip a one-sided build.
- Use a breathable protector. Liquids void the warranty and stain the cover.
- Support it properly. Slats need gaps under 8 cm, or the foam sags between them.
- Air it out. Strip the bed for an hour on laundry day and let moisture escape.
- Do not sit on the same edge daily. Edge foam compresses faster than the core.
